NeuroAdrenal & Hormonal Plus Study
Do you feel tired even after resting, notice unexplained changes in mood, disrupted sleep or a loss of libido — while your usual lab results appear normal? The NeuroAdrenal & Hormonal Plus Study analyzes more than 40 markers in dried urine and saliva to examine aspects conventional tests may not show: sex hormones, adrenal function, cortisol rhythm throughout the day and stress response from the moment you wake…

Do you feel a fatigue that doesn't improve with rest, mood swings without a clear cause, difficulty sleeping, weight gain without changing your habits, or a libido that has disappeared… but your usual lab tests say everything is fine? The NeuroAdrenal & Hormonal Plus Study thoroughly evaluates how your sexual hormones, adrenal glands, and the axis that connects them to your brain work, analyzing not only hormonal levels but also how your body metabolizes them and how their production varies throughout the day.
For this, combine samples of dried urine and saliva collected at different times of the day, including the cortisol response to waking up (Cortisol Awakening Response, CAR), one of the most precise windows to evaluate the real function of your hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and your ability to adapt to stress.
It is a particularly useful study when there are symptoms such as persistent fatigue, mental fog, sleep disturbances, irritability, menstrual or menopausal symptoms, low libido, difficulty losing weight or a general feeling of “not being yourself,” and conventional testing does not give answers.
What analyzes
The NeuroAdrenal & Hormonal Plus Study goes much beyond a standard hormonal analysis. It does not just measure levels: it also evaluates how hormones are produced, metabolized, and eliminated, and how your autonomic nervous system and adrenal system respond to the stress of everyday life.
Analyze more than 40 markers organized in five major areas:
- Female sexual hormones and their metabolites: estradiol, estrone, estrriol and their hydroxylation pathways (2-, 4- and 16-OH), which allow us to understand whether estrogens are being metabolized safely and what their impact may be on symptoms such as breast pain, fluid retention, hot flashes or long-term estrogen risk.
- Androgens and male sexual hormones: testosterone, DHEA and its metabolites, to evaluate their relationship with energy, muscle mass, libido, mood and hair health both in men and women.
- Adrenal axis and stress response: total production of cortisol and cortisol, evaluation of the complete diurnal curve (morning, midday, afternoon, and night) and analysis of the cortisol response upon waking (CAR), a key marker for understanding stress resilience, the risk of burnout, and the quality of nighttime sleep.
- DHEA and adrenal reserve: the metabolites of DHEA provide additional information about hormonal aging, the ability to recover from sustained stress loads and the balance between the activation and regeneration systems of the body.
- Cortisol circadian rhythm: the natural variation of cortisol throughout the day explains many symptoms that seem inexplicable: difficulty waking up in the morning, energy slumps in the middle of the afternoon, nighttime anxiety, waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning or exhaustion that does not improve with hours of sleep.
All results are interpreted in context: symptoms, lifestyle, clinical history and other analyses, so that each pattern translates into concrete and actionable decisions.
Who is it indicated for
In women, this study is especially useful in cases of:
- Persistent fatigue or low energy that may be related to adrenal or hormonal dysfunction.
- Low mood, irritability or episodes of anxiety linked to hormonal changes.
- Decreased libido or changes in sexual response.
- Premenstrual symptoms (PMS): swelling, breast pain, mood changes, headaches or intense cravings.
- Perimenopause and menopause: hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, mental fog, weight gain or a feeling of "not recognizing oneself".
- Difficulty regulating weight or changes in body composition related to cortisol or sex hormones.
In men, it is especially relevant in front of:
- Constant fatigue, loss of vitality or reduced physical performance.
- Decreased libido, difficulties in sexual function or less satisfaction.
- Sadness, apathy or lack of motivation that may be related to a testosterone or cortisol imbalance.
- Sleep disturbances: difficulty to fall or stay asleep, or waking up early.
- Hair loss or changes in body fat distribution associated with hormonal changes.
In both cases, the study provides special value in situations of chronic stress, slow recovery after diseases, periods of overtraining or in people who seek to optimize their performance, healthy aging and long-term well-being.
How it works
- Reception of the kit and preparationYou receive the kit at your home with everything necessary for sample collection: dry urine strips, saliva tubes, detailed instructions, and a clear and easy-to-follow schedule. You do not need to visit any laboratory or clinic.
- Sample collection in a single day4 samples of dried urine and 5 samples of saliva are collected at specific times of the day, starting just upon waking. This schedule is essential for capturing the cortisol response upon waking (CAR) and the complete diurnal curve, which are the most relevant markers of the study.
- Shipment to the laboratoryOnce collection is completed, you send the samples to the specialized laboratory following the instructions included in the kit. The analysis is performed using high-precision mass spectrometry technology to ensure reliable and reproducible results.
- Results in approximately 21 daysOnce the laboratory results are received in approximately 21 days, we create a detailed results interpretation report with all values, metabolites, biotransformation pathways and reference ranges.
- Personalized professional interpretation in Health CodeA specialist reviews and interprets your complete NeuroAdrenal & Hormonal profile in the context of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle. From there, we design a personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and, when appropriate, supplementation or phytotherapeutic support plan focused on concrete results. We will schedule you for an appointment within no more than 7 days to communicate the results in a personalized session.

Scientific evidence
The methodology of the NeuroAdrenal & Hormonal Plus Study is supported by the scientific literature available on the HPA axis, the cortisol circadian rhythm, and its relationship with fatigue, mood, metabolism, and hormonal health. The cortisol response to awakening (CAR), in particular, is one of the most studied biomarkers in the context of chronic stress, burnout risk, mood disorders, and immune function. Its combined assessment with the complete hormonal profile provides a much more precise and clinically useful picture than any conventional hormonal analysis.
